For the entirety of my career, I have dedicated myself to providing top-notch financial advice and service to my clients in the financial services industry. To help ensure that I am at the pinnacle of my industry, I have completed my Ph.D. in Financial and Retirement Planning at The American College. I hold a Master of Science in Financial Services degree from the College of Financial Planning and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from St. John's University.
I have earned several professional designations, including Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®). I am also a Certified Financial Educator (CFEd®) from the Heartland Institute of Financial Education.

As a Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®) I have a direct connection to those families who are affected by a loved one who has special needs. I’ve gained incredible insights into the needs of this market through raising my son who has special needs. This planning can be incredibly impactful, and it’s an honor to provide key guidance to people in this market. I love serving people in this community.
My specialties lie in retirement planning, estate planning, employee benefits, long-term care planning, and investments, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals, successful professionals, business owners, and retirees. I not only assist clients in developing and implementing their financial goals but also regularly monitor their progress and recommend adjustments when necessary. I have shared my knowledge through lectures at various organizations, schools, and Barnes & Noble Bookstores, as well as appearances as a featured speaker on local radio and cable stations.
Through my unwavering dedication and reputation for integrity and professionalism, I have built a strong client base. I strive to fulfill the objectives of my practice by developing long-term relationships with my clients and tailoring their financial plans to their specific life goals.
I am deeply committed to the Long Island community and currently serve on the Board of Trustees of Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk, Inc.
Kristina Duswalt, MBA
Financial Advisor
As a financial advisor, my mission is to empower clients by providing personalized guidance and strategies that align with their goals. To ensure I am in the best position to support my clients, I have prioritized my education. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a dual major in Finance & Information Systems, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola University Maryland. I hold Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA registrations, along with New York State Life and Health Insurance licenses.
Prior to transitioning into my role as a financial advisor, I spent several years working in corporate financial planning & analysis at The Walt Disney Company, where I gained valuable experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision-making on a large scale.
Growing up in a family business built on the principles of smart money management and strategic investing, I developed a strong foundation in these areas early on. It didn’t take long for me to realize that financial planning isn’t just about numbers—it’s about understanding people. Active listening became one of my most valuable tools, allowing me to adapt strategies to each client’s unique needs, goals, and risk tolerance.
Today, I’m proud to leverage my experience and deep understanding of financial principles to help individuals and families navigate the complexities of their financial futures. My approach as a financial advisor is centered around offering personalized, transparent, and thoughtful advice—whether it’s optimizing investments, planning for retirement, or managing risk. I believe that no two clients are the same, and I work tirelessly to develop strategies that align with their aspirations and give them the confidence to move forward.
